Helen Dunkin – Roswell Police Department

In April 2020, Interim Deputy Chief Helen Dunkin resigned after allegations surfaced that she assaulted and belittled a new recruit during a fitness exercise. The recruit reported that Dunkin placed her foot on the recruit’s hair while she was performing push-ups and later criticized her hairstyle, stating that as a probationary officer, she hadn’t earned the privilege of wearing her hair in a ponytail. Dunkin resigned before the internal investigation was completed.
