Former Chief Louis Kealoha was convicted in 2019 for conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and bank fraud. He orchestrated the framing of his wife’s uncle for a crime he did not commit to discredit him in a family financial dispute. Kealoha was sentenced to seven years in federal prison.
