In December 2023, Officer Jordan Collins was arrested and charged with eight counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of reproduction of child pornography. During a search of his home, investigators found evidence supporting these charges. Following his arrest, Collins resigned from the Elgin Police Department before an internal investigation could be conducted.
