In January 2013, Officer James Arnold was involved in an incident where excessive force was used against Casey Wentzel, resulting in skull and facial fractures. Arnold received a 30-day suspension after a review of dash cam footage confirmed the excessive force. Previously, in 2007, Arnold fatally shot Jose Baudilio Lemus-Rodriguez, leading to a $335,000 settlement paid to the victim’s estate.
