In August 2022, Officer Keith Earnest conducted a traffic stop involving Nicolas Brown. During the stop, Earnest drew his handgun and later used a taser on Brown, causing him to fall and sustain injuries. Brown filed a federal lawsuit alleging violations of his constitutional rights, claiming he was arrested without probable cause and wrongfully detained.
