In 1973, Officer Robert Lee Page was dismissed from the Anderson Police Department following multiple charges, including absence without leave, insubordination, and failure to report a change of address. The Board of Public Safety found that Page violated several department rules and was unfit to continue as a police officer based on a doctor’s report. Page appealed the dismissal, but the Madison Superior Court upheld the decision. ([law.justia.com](https://law.justia.com/cases/indiana/court-of-appeals/1979/2-677a232-6.html?utm_source=openai))
