Officer Lonzo McConico was involved in multiple incidents of alleged misconduct. In February 2018, he was recorded sweeping the legs of a handcuffed individual, causing the person to hit their head on the pavement and lose consciousness. In December 2022, McConico was arrested in Texas on a misdemeanor assault charge for allegedly hitting a woman in the face. He completed an anger management course, and the case was dismissed in April 2023. Despite these incidents, McConico remained employed with the department.
