Robert Warrington – Bowie Police Department

On September 12, 2024, Sgt. Robert Warrington stopped to assist a stranded motorist on Collington Road near Route 50. During the encounter, Warrington fired his weapon at an unarmed man retrieving an item from the road, missing the individual but striking a passing vehicle. No injuries were reported. Warrington was indicted on charges including attempted second-degree murder and reckless endangerment. He has been suspended without pay pending further proceedings.
