    In December 2020, Officer Eric Mueller was charged with sexual abuse of a minor and fourth-degree sexual offense. The incident involved a 17-year-old girl and occurred between November 20 and November 22, 2020. Mueller pleaded guilty to three counts of fourth-degree sexual offense in May 2021 and was sentenced to three years of supervised probation, required to register as a sex offender for 15 years, and mandated to enter a sex offender treatment program. His police powers were suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
