In 2016, Detective Sasha Vicente instructed an informant to skip court to perform a controlled drug buy and to lie to a judge about the reason for missing court. She also encouraged the informant to purchase drugs for personal use. Despite these violations, Vicente was promoted to sergeant in 2021. In 2023, she was accused of aiding a suspect fleeing a crime scene, leading to internal investigations that found violations of departmental regulations.
