In April 2020, Officer Tyler Peake, 23, was charged with assault and misconduct in office after he pointed a gun at an unarmed driver, Brendan Morgan, and repeatedly punched him during a traffic stop. Video footage showed six other officers striking Morgan. Peake was placed on unpaid leave and faced legal consequences for his actions.
