In October 2015, Officer Brian Rogers arrested a woman for driving under the influence. In December 2015, he offered to get the charge dismissed in exchange for a sexual relationship. Rogers approached the city prosecutor, suggesting dismissal due to a purported breathalyzer maintenance issue. The prosecutor, suspecting misconduct, contacted authorities. Rogers admitted his intentions during an FBI interview. He pleaded guilty to deprivation of rights under color of law and was sentenced to six months of home detention and three years of probation in January 2017.
