    Former intern George Medina, who later served as a police officer in Schuyler, was convicted of third-degree domestic assault in August 2022. The victim was a former Fremont police officer. Medina resigned from the Schuyler Police Department in lieu of termination on March 3, 2021, after being confronted with unauthorized use of a city-owned vehicle and dishonesty during an internal affairs investigation. His law enforcement certification was revoked on March 21, 2023.
