Captain Chad Reiman was placed on administrative leave in August 2024 during an investigation into the department’s workplace culture, which included allegations of harassment and discrimination. In December 2024, he agreed to resign by the end of the year as part of a settlement with the City of Norfolk, receiving a payout of $250,000. The settlement indicated that no allegations were sustained against him.
