In April 2023, Sgt. Mark Harrington, a SWAT team leader assigned to protect Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, threw a can of Red Bull at documentary filmmaker Rod Webber. The incident was caught on camera. Harrington was disciplined for ‘conduct unbecoming an officer’ and ‘neglect of duty,’ receiving written reprimands for each violation and a six-month suspension from VIP details.
