Alex Della Donna – Yonkers Police Department

Officer Della Donna was involved in at least nine settlements over alleged misconduct occurring after the DOJ’s investigation into the department. In one case, a 15-year-old girl alleged that Della Donna and four other officers severely beat her during an arrest, resulting in a broken nose and missing teeth; she received a $33,000 settlement. In another case, a woman claimed Della Donna coerced her into sexual acts by promising to drop her drug charges; she received a $20,000 settlement. Della Donna faced disciplinary hearings, including one where he was penalized with 30 days of revoked paid leave and ordered to retake an ethics training course. Despite these incidents, he received 59 departmental awards over his nearly 15-year career and retired in late 2021 at age 45. Important Community Guidelines

It is strictly against our rules to:

  • Make threats of any kind
  • Share private information such as personal emails, home addresses, or phone numbers

Why This Matters

By organizing this data, we can potentially demonstrate when officers were previously aware of laws they later claim ignorance of, challenging qualified immunity defenses and promoting accountability.
