In April 2017, Officer Ahmad Mims was involved in the arrest of Peter Dixon, during which excessive force was allegedly used. Dixon claimed he was beaten and falsely charged. The charges were later dismissed, and Mims resigned from the department following multiple complaints of unconstitutional violence.
