In 2011, Deputy Chief McMahon was investigated for consuming alcohol in public while wearing his badge and sidearm, and for providing false and misleading statements. An independent investigation concluded he engaged in conduct unbecoming a police officer. In February 2012, following a hearing, McMahon was terminated from his position.
