Officer Falcone was terminated in 2020 for allegedly staging photos of officers changing clothes in the department parking lot to protest the closure of police headquarters bathrooms during the COVID-19 pandemic. He filed a federal lawsuit alleging wrongful termination, and in April 2024, a jury awarded him $780,000 in damages, finding that city officials violated his constitutional rights.
