In 2013, former police dispatcher Dominic Pratt filed a lawsuit alleging that Lt. Gregory Landry, along with other department members, engaged in severe and pervasive harassment based on the perception that Pratt was gay. Landry was accused of stealing Pratt’s cell phone on several occasions and sending texts to Pratt’s roommate with messages such as ‘I love you.’ The lawsuit also claimed that Landry, along with other officers, threatened and harassed Pratt with their tasers, stunning him multiple times and chasing him around threatening to do so more than a hundred times. The case was settled in 2023, though the terms of the agreement have not been made public.
