Deputy Cody Allen reported witnessing Sheriff Cameron Noel allegedly assaulting a suspect in May 2014. Subsequently, Allen was terminated in November 2014 over allegations of being intoxicated at a Halloween party and making threats. Allen contended that his termination was retaliatory for reporting the sheriff’s actions. He filed a civil rights lawsuit against Noel and Beaver County, which was settled with the county paying Allen $5,000.
