Officer Adrian Salazar was indefinitely suspended in October 2022 after a woman reported that he had sexually assaulted her on two occasions while off duty. The victim, who was under 21, stated that Salazar provided her alcohol and then forced intercourse despite her telling him no during incidents in October and December 2021. According to internal records, Salazar later told her she was being dramatic about the assault. No criminal charges were filed, but SAPD fired Salazar for the misconduct following its internal investigation.
