Fountain Police Officer Jonathan Kay was also involved in the controversial October 2022 incident at Kyle Fisher’s home, where Fisher was pulled from his house and arrested without cause during a purported welfare check. Kay accompanied Officer Marcus Howard on the call and participated in entering Fisher’s doorway and seizing him after Fisher asserted his rights and refused to let them in. Fisher’s lawsuit names Kay as a defendant for the unlawful search and seizure; although Fountain PD opened an internal investigation, both Kay and Howard remained employed with the department following the incident.
