On December 17, 2017, Officer Antoine, along with other officers, pursued and stopped Mr. Thayne’s vehicle after he left a gas station. During the stop, Officer Antoine approached the driver’s side with his gun drawn and ordered Mr. Thayne to show his hands and exit the vehicle. Mr. Thayne refused, leading to officers forcibly removing him from the car. Mr. Thayne filed a lawsuit alleging excessive force and other claims. The court granted summary judgment in favor of the officers, finding no constitutional violations. ([casetext.com](https://casetext.com/case/thayne-v-pleasant-grove-city?utm_source=openai))
