Officer Pace Truman – St. George Police Department

In March 2019, Officer Pace Truman was involved in the response to Benjamin Joseph ‘Joey’ Herold’s mental health crisis. During the incident, Herold was forcefully taken to the ground and restrained. Herold filed a federal civil rights lawsuit alleging excessive force and inadequate training by the department.
