    In November 2021, a Madison police officer attended a Green Bay Packers game at Lambeau Field, where they swiped a beer from a vendor, took a combative tone, and ran from police when they arrived. The officer received an $880 citation for ‘Unlawful Conduct at a Public Event’ and a 10-day suspension with five days held in abeyance. In a letter to Chief Barnes, the officer admitted to becoming ‘far too intoxicated’ and losing ‘the ability to make rational decisions.’
