In June 2003, Deputy Fite arrested a woman with outstanding warrants and, during the booking process, coerced her into exposing her breasts by offering to reduce her fines. He then touched her breast without consent. Fite pleaded guilty to second-degree sexual assault, a Class B felony, and was sentenced to 60 months of probation and placed on the sex offender registry.
