On November 12, 2016, Officer Rigsby was involved in the arrest of Randall Veazie. While Veazie was handcuffed and on the ground, Rigsby struck him on the right side of his face and head with a ‘mag light’ flashlight, causing significant injuries. Despite the severity of the incident, Rigsby faced no criminal charges but was suspended from duty. In December 2018, the Ash Flat City Council voted against his reinstatement.
