In June 2022, Detective Joshua Luman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on a family or household member and third-degree domestic battering. The charges stemmed from an incident where Luman allegedly choked a woman until she became light-headed, threw her to the ground, kicked her in the ribs, and poured water on her. He also reportedly brandished a handgun and threatened to kill himself.
