Undisclosed Correctional Officer – Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office

A correctional officer allegedly deployed excessive pepper spray into the cell of a mentally ill woman, causing employees in another section to cough and tear up. The woman sustained a head wound during the incident. The officer resigned in 2020 after being cited in Brookings, Oregon, for impersonating an officer.
