In June 2023, Deputy Hoskins was involved in the arrest of 65-year-old Danny Sigman at his Stockton home. Sigman alleged that deputies, including Hoskins, violated his civil rights through assault, battery, trespass, false imprisonment, elder abuse, and excessive use of force. The lawsuit resulted in an $850,000 settlement paid by the county.
