Detective Za Xiong – Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department

In October 2022, Detective Xiong participated in the arrest of Anthony Silva, which led to Silva’s paralysis and death. A federal wrongful death lawsuit was filed against the county. The District Attorney’s Office declined to press criminal charges against Xiong.
