    In May 2024, Deputy Ryan Sellin was arrested in Murrieta, California, for felony battery with serious injury. The incident occurred while he was off-duty, and he was held on a $250,000 bond. Following the arrest, Bent County Sheriff Jake Six initiated an administrative investigation into Sellin’s employment. Subsequently, Sellin was considered a former deputy of the Bent County Sheriff’s Office.
