    In 2012, Lieutenant Donald Foss conducted a criminal investigation into Detective Brian Brady’s use of county resources for private business. Foss concluded that Brady’s actions violated departmental policies but did not amount to criminal conduct. Despite this, the case was referred for possible prosecution, which was declined. The internal handling of this case raised questions about differential treatment within the department.
