In February 2018, Corrections Officer Daigneault used excessive force on detainee Brian Dunnigan at the York County Jail. Daigneault kneeled on Dunnigan’s chest and applied a Taser to him multiple times, causing severe burns and breaking three ribs. Dunnigan filed a lawsuit in 2019, alleging excessive use of force. In August 2023, the case was settled out of court.
