In 1999, Undersheriff LaDuc was implicated in a lawsuit filed by a female employee alleging a campaign of harassment against her and other female employees. The allegations included daily offensive comments about appearance, condescending remarks, and disparaging comments referring to female workers as ‘cute bitches,’ ‘ugly bitches,’ and ‘fat bitches.’ The lawsuit claimed that LaDuc’s behavior created a hostile work environment.
