    In 1999, Chief Civil Deputy Rumble was named in a lawsuit filed by a female employee alleging harassment and creation of a hostile work environment. The allegations included offensive comments about appearance, condescending remarks, and disparaging comments referring to female workers as ‘cute bitches,’ ‘ugly bitches,’ and ‘fat bitches.’ The lawsuit claimed that Rumble’s behavior contributed to a hostile work environment.
