Deputy Michael Rosen was involved in multiple incidents leading to disciplinary actions and eventual termination. In 2012, he was disciplined for a negligent discharge of a shotgun. In 2013, he failed to timely sign a marijuana policy and received a written reprimand and suspension for not being photographed for an ID. Additionally, he was investigated for failing to adequately investigate an allegation of indecent exposure in the jail. These incidents culminated in his termination on June 27, 2013. Rosen filed a lawsuit alleging procedural due process violations, but the court granted summary judgment in favor of the defendants on his federal claims and remanded the state law claims to state court.
