Hired in April 2018, Troy Page resigned on October 30, 2020, after admitting to falsifying information and lying during a background investigation and an internal investigation. He used heroin and abused prescription drugs, including Percocet and Tramadol, between 2016 and 2018. A 2019 workplace incident, where he was hospitalized, may have resulted from excessive Tramadol use. Page associated with known felons, including one who supplied him with heroin, and failed to disclose personal connections to inmates. In November 2020, the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training opened a professional standards case, leading to the revocation of his corrections officer certification for life in October 2023 due to a lack of ‘moral fitness.’
