    In 2022, Constable Douglas was involved in a legal dispute initiated by District Attorney Greg Griggers, who attempted to unseat him by alleging the existence of multiple out-of-state arrest warrants. Douglas contested these claims, asserting that Griggers committed perjury during court proceedings. The Alabama Supreme Court ultimately ruled in Douglas’s favor, stating that Griggers lacked the authority to unilaterally commence the action without proper authorization. Douglas has indicated plans to sue Griggers for malicious prosecution and to file a bar complaint against him for alleged perjury.
