Create And Track Police Department History
Home › Forums › Alabama › Argo Police Department › David Moses
Officer David Moses has a documented history of excessive force and poor judgment. During his tenure at the Tuscaloosa Police Department, he was involved in multiple incidents, including an off-duty pursuit and arrest of two college students, leading to a civil lawsuit and his involuntary resignation. The department noted his ‘grossly poor judgment’ and a pattern of bad decision-making under moderate stress. In 2007, while with the Argo Police Department, Moses faced two FBI investigations for excessive force, one involving Jerry Joe Rich, resulting in a $45,000 settlement by the city. Despite this history, Argo rehired him in 2012 without a thorough background check. In 2014, Moses was sued by Michael Glasscox for excessive force during an arrest, leading to a federal lawsuit against both Moses and the City of Argo.
