Timothy Bruce – Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office

In November 2020, Sergeant Bruce failed to intervene during the assault of detainee John Mannarino by Officer Eugene Sellie at the Schenectady County Jail. Bruce was charged with two misdemeanor counts of official misconduct and was terminated from his position following the incident. The county settled a federal lawsuit with Mannarino for $562,500.
