Former Officer Jason Scott Meade was charged with deprivation of rights under color of law for allegedly striking an inmate in the groin with a baton on October 8, 2019. The incident resulted in the inmate, Bryant King, sustaining an injury. Meade was fired from the department shortly after the incident and faced both federal and state charges related to the assault.
