    Deputy Sheridan faced multiple internal affairs investigations for untruthfulness. In 2020, he was disciplined for providing false information regarding traffic stops and searches. In April 2023, during a court case, a judge found his testimony to be not credible, leading to the suppression of evidence and dismissal of charges against a defendant. Shortly thereafter, Sheridan resigned from the sheriff’s office.
