In 2014, Detective Sergeant Michael Wudtke attended a picnic where he and other detectives were investigated for potentially using their positions to intimidate or harass an individual named Bieber. The investigation focused on whether they were off-duty, used county equipment, and discussed confidential information. During the investigation, it was discovered that Wudtke had recorded a command meeting without authorization and deleted files from the recording device. Facing potential disciplinary action, Wudtke opted to resign from the Sheriff’s Office in March 2015.
