On August 6, 2021, Officer Cory Rink was named as a defendant in the federal civil rights case Graff, et al v. Aberdeen Enterprises II, Inc., et al. The lawsuit alleges that Rink participated in a statewide extortion scheme that jailed impoverished Oklahomans to generate revenue for the Sheriff’s Association, courts, and a private debt collection agency.
