In 2012, Flomaton Police Chief Geoff McGraw was accused by a Century couple of illegally entering their Florida home, pulling his weapon, and conducting an unauthorized search. The couple alleged that McGraw arrested their son-in-law without proper jurisdiction and transported him back to Alabama. These actions led to investigations by the Florida State Attorney’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. McGraw was placed on indefinite paid leave during the investigation.
