Tyler Barnett – Florence Police Department

In December 2022, Officer Tyler Barnett was involved in an incident where he, along with off-duty Sheffield Police Officer Max Dotson, assaulted Demarcus Key at a liquor store. Barnett arrested Key and allegedly used excessive force during the arrest. A lawsuit filed in December 2023 accuses Barnett of unlawful arrest and excessive force, seeking over $50 million in damages.
