In 2011, Officer Dodson commanded a police canine to apprehend an unarmed individual multiple times during a pursuit. The individual, who was later identified as autistic, sustained significant injuries from the canine attacks. A lawsuit was filed alleging excessive force and violations of constitutional rights. The case was documented in Garner v. City of Ozark, et al, No. 1:2013cv00090.
