In November 2021, off-duty Tucson Police Officer Szelewski was involved in an altercation at a midtown restaurant where he allegedly assaulted two women. The incident was captured on video, showing Szelewski holding down the women. The City of Tucson reached a $30,000 settlement with the victims.
